Well, the best ...... ??? Hard to tell, but at least I will name the weirdes t version I'd ever came across : it's by a British band called "John The Pos tman's Psychedelic Rock'n'Roll Five Skinners" (truly, no kidding)on a 4-trac k 12" record (Big Bent Records BB4)from 1979.
The wildest version is the one by Os Aranhas, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 1966.
Does it have to be vinyl? If so, mono version by Them. If not, best ever was Barbie Army from Chicago playing the Patty Smith version live. I think there may be a cassette of them doing it somewhere ...

Helloo. My favourite version has got to be by The Crushers, too. But I am biased, so I'd also vote THEM + VAN MORRISON. :)) Vad - i think it was 1999. :)
Oh, SF Sorrow, you are wrong, Crushers' version of Gloria WAS on official album called "Crushers", have you forgotten? Anyway, the album was released only on compact cassette in obscure 1999 (or was it 1998?). As for Gloria, oh, how I like the girl. Shadows Of Knight live version of 1966 is very cool, have you heard it?
My favorite version - by Moscow band The CRUSHERS they performed it live every gig and even tried to record it live, but i don't know about official release of their version - only bootlegs
Gloria, by the 13th Floor Elavators ... Get tktktktktktktktktktktktk!
The Mystreated also used to do a pretty fine version live but I dont think they ever recorded it.
Them's version is the best seeing as Van the Man originated the tune the vocals percussion and agression is just right. I like the Wheels version too seeing as Them and The Wheels are both from Ireland they are quite similar sounding vocally . I'd love to hear The Boot's version if it sounds half as good as "You'll never do it Baby" Golden Cups version is cool too.
Is there any other version than Jimy's ???? You will always be in my heart crazy man. xxoo That Girl In Naples
13th Floor Elevators...probably the most out of control version I've heard! Considering it was recorded for an after school TV show, it's also the most subversive version! Although, it's kind of hard not to love Them and The Belles (Melvin). dave...Connecticut USA
The Gloria by Night Shadows is great for the beautiful voice of Little Phil.I like the good versions by Yesterday痴 Children and The Illusions too.Among the most famous groups I choose Shadows of Knight.Bye-bye Peter - Italy -
Them. The original is still the greatest
I Love Gloria By Shadows Of Knight. Also Could You Please Tell Me If You'll Ever Lived In Tampa Florida? Sincerely Cbreeze.
Shadows of Knight... King Beezz...
THEM !!!! Long live van the man!!!
Fantastic web site - keep up the good work! My 3 fave 'Gloria's (in no particular order) are :- 1) The Pleazers (Aussi/NZ group - around '66 on Zodiac) 2) Patti Smith (Horses) 3) Shadows of Knight Fang - Perth,Western Australia
who
sky saxon and the seeds/gloria
robb london and the rogues/gloria

1.GLORIA BY "AFTERMATH"(L.A.'66)-5 POINTS! 2.GLORIA BY "LOS MONSTRUOS"(MEX'66)-9 POINTS!! 3.GLORIA BY "MIGUEL ANGEL & LOS SHARPS"-10 POINTS!!!! & THE CLASSIC SHADOWS OF KNIGHT MASTERPIECE..OF COURSE!
shadows of the knight go jimy love you always your roomate jodie
shadows of knight gloria
Wow I got a little carried away on my first email! Sorry - but very protective of my old friends and of course my first love of 4 years, Warren. Hey - Warren or Jimmy - if you are out there and happen to read this, please email! I would love to catch up - been a long time! Of course I definately vote for my Shadows Of Knight when it comes to Gloria or all the other songs! Denise
Vic Bannon,(posting number 69) what is your new email address?
I vote Shadows of Knight, a big fan in 60's,saw them perform in Milwaukee, just about wore out my Dunwich vinyl as a teenager. There are two versions of Oh Yeah,(Oh Yea) they appeared on TV music show (similar to bandstand)that originated in Cleveland. Was even member of fan club.Do any video performances of Shadows of Knight exist? Randy in Wichita.
My favourite Gloria version is the one by the Shadows of Knight. I think I posess more than 20 different versions of this song but the Shadows of Knight version is the most raw version and a very good example of real 60's garage-punk. My favourite psychedelic band is H.P. Lovecraft. This band also consists of ex-members of the Shadows of Knight.
Great website! Yeah! Keep it up! The VIDEO BEAT! Rare 1950s & 1960s Rock n Roll on Video! http://www.thevideobeat.com
Great website! Yeah! Keep it up! The VIDEO BEAT! Rare 1950s & 1960s Rock n Roll on Video! http://www.thevideobeat.com
there are several versions of the great tale of a one night stand here here it goes golden cups tangerine zoo hangmen
I think the Shadows of Knight have recorded the best version. The site is really cool.
Yep, I gotta go with the Wheels and the post-Van Them's "Gloria's Dream" is pretty darn boss, too!!!
I vote for the Elevators version. Dig that frantic guitar riff that shoots it off - that guy is on acid. Crazy!
I vote for the Elevators version. Dig that frantic guitar riff that shoots it off - that guy is on acid. Crazy!
The Shadows of Knight,Canada`s own King Beezz,Them,Donnie Iris all were great, but The Doors version of G L O R I A gets my vote.
La mejor Gloria es la de Umberto Tozzi. Tambi駭 la de los Shadows
Shadows of Knight. They made me feel alright. Jimmy's voice, Tom's coolness, and Warren's sweetness. I was a 16 year old girl from Rockford, Illinois (90 miles from The Windy City). The first time I saw them, Warren Rogers handed me his guitar when their set was up he stood next to me and we talked forever. The second time I saw them he gave me a quitar pic and visited with me during their break. He was so cute and so nice. I had a space between my two front teeth then and he had a gold tooth. Maybe that's why we hit it off. Crazy huh? Anyway I heard he went out to California. I'd love to find out how he is and what he is doing.
I guess for me it will be The Pandoras version of "Melvin"-pure savagery! Snarl, overamped powerchords, bonerattling tambourine-an all- time classic!
WHOA! YOU HAVE NO WAY TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT - NOTHING! I WAS WARRENS GIRLFRIEND FOR 4 YEARS DURING HIGH SCHOOL. HE IS THE ONE THAT STARTED THE BAND AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEIR AGENT WAS DO YOU? WELL, I DO. I WAS THERE FOR ALL THOSE YEARS AND "PEEPERS" IS A FIGMENT OF YOUR IMAGINATION. HE WAS WITH THE GROUP FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, ONLY. YOU WANT A BOOK? I CAN GIVE YOU ONE! DENISE (ZELLINGER) HOPE
Sorry! ‘GAREGE’=‘GARAGE’
I think that the version of THEM is the best. The shout of Van Morrison seems to be a savagery. However, to call this version GAREGE PUNK, there is an a little too much ripening sensation. The kids listen“GLORIA" which THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHT plays and should have thought so of it."Wow! We can do this!" I am a Japanese person.I think that the version of FINGERS is the best in the band in Japan. The version of famous GOLDEN CUPS is a performance like the blues. The performance of FINGERS has appeal like SHADOWS OF KNIGHT.It is enough to call it GAREGE PUNK.
the shadows are the best version ever
the shadows are the best version ever
I vote the Scorpions as i once owned an LP from them but i lost it now. Gloria was my best song from them and one of the first to learn to play on the guitar. I hope I will find a cd of them somewhere - with gloria in it!
The version by the the Tangerine Zoo from their first album is a great psychedelic tribute to a girl named GLORIA.
Uhmmm... I'm not so sure; my preferences between the bands listed above goes undoubtably <(?!? does this word exist in the english dictionary?), to the shadows of knight one, but I 5think that the blues magoos' one is the best ever waxed onto my ears... Great job Hitomi... keep on with your fantastic website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<[93] Hitomi I (The Gants VS SOK) 2000/11/06 Mon 13:06:20 JST
Ilove both versions. But Jerry M told me that he didn't know The Gants version at the time. So I assume SOK didn't copy that version.
Of course, The Gants version of "Gloria". It IS the BEST and besides that, they are my friends. Thanks for having this website. It really is interesting.
Shadows of Knight! Wonderful page. Stu Shea
I see alot of people vote for Shadows of Knight---well they copied the Gants--that great raw garage band from the mississippi delta--sid herring has the rough, nasty, bluesest voice that sets their GLoria apart from all the others plus their frenetically charged fat-back drummer and bass player keep it pushing on that rock edge@@##$$%mlee LOVE THOSE GANTS
my fave version is Les Breastfeeders rendition of Gloria... It's cool sexy and in french!
The wheels version is the best version. lets face it the shadows of night just copied theirs.
Andrea Bosi is a piece o' shit 'cos' he doesn't like The Great sound of the garage bands:he listens only to oasis and beatles. VIVA THE BLACKOUTS! I play in a garage band and I'm only 17:it's hard...ciao a tutti i garagers di Bologna(sarete in 2,se va bene)e di tutta italia.
My fave "gloria"version is the Sharks'one.it's wild and wild and wild,it comes from Bologna 1966
my favorite glorias (i have 2) are by Patti Smith (from the album Horses) and Nick Cave (only live, i think).
The Wheels & the Doors. Listen to both these versions on my Website: Alternative Sixties Jukebox - www.sixtiesjukebox.co.uk also includes the Belfast Gypsies. Thanks Hitomi.
I like the version by Delfini from Yugoslavia as well as the one by Les Fleaux from Canada.
King Beezz. KICKS MY ARSE
I love Them, and I think their version is the most polished and well produced and I love the guitar sound and Van's singing, so they get my vote. The Boots' version is good but the English is hilarious!
The Shadows of Knight - Rock It over all the others. It is raw, pure garage band. It is as Chicago as the winter wind stings and as steamy as the hot summer sizzles! You gotta hear Jimy Sohns sing live. He is a dynamic singer. Check out The New Colony Six web site: http://www.newcolonysix.com
My fave "gloria" version is by the teen gods LES FLEAUX from French Canada.
i think im split between patti's and shaddows of knight i have allso heard a version by heartbreakers its pretty neat.
One of the best version was made by Patti Smith
I THINK MARCELO CROSS'S OPINION IS THE REAL ONE. THE COVER MADE BY THE SPANISH GROUP 'LOS NO'IS MARVELLOUS.THE LYRICS ARE IN SPANISH 'TU HAS CAMBIADO NIムA, HOY DISTINTA ERES TU,Y TU EXTRムA LOCURA ME VUELVE LOCO A MI, EL MAL QUE HA MI ME HAS HECHO LO HICISTE A LOS DEMAS, MAS A PESAR DE TODO TE SIGO QUERIENDO IGUAL. VUELVE OTRA VEZ A SER... BLUES MAGOOS VERSION IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT
Jimi Hendrix and shadows of knight DeSu
I love "LOS NO" Spanish band version and Los Walkers Argentinian band version too. Anyway Shadows of Knight version is powerfull and Blues magoos is Long and trippy......
Hi Jerry
Thanks to write the message.
Actually I lost some post becuase of server trouble. ('99 march to
Nov.)So I believe there are lots more cover of GLORIA.
Sheesh, I read through the posts & never realized how many versions of "Gloria" there actually were. My favorite? Well,it would have to be the one Joe Kelley and I played at the June '99 Cellar Blast Reunion, in Arlington Heights, IL. It was the first time Joe & I had played together since 1968. (It might not have been good, but it sure was fun!)For those of you in the Chicago area, Joe is back playing agin with his Blue Shadow band, and playing better than ever. Check out a true legend next time he's playing. Best to all, Jerry Mcgeorge SoK '66
Gloria by OS ESPECTROS, a modern brazilian band inspired on 60s music, Music Machine and Fuzztones. The BLUES MAGOOS version is very good and different from the rest.
'Gloria's Dream' by the Belfast Gypsies. This is not exactly 'Gloria' but almost same melody with differed words. This band consists of ex-members of Them!! Also, check out our 60's style garage/instro band, the OKe-Tones from Nagoya, Japan!!
1. GLORIA-SHADOWS OF KNIGHT(BY FAR THE BEST! BESIDES I'M A FORMER CHICAGO AREA DJ AND GOOD FRIENDS WITH JIMY SOHNS) 2. GLORIA-THE OXFORD FIVE(THE LEAD SINGER TRYS TO IMPERSONATE JIMY SOHNS OF THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHT!) 3. GLORIA-THEM(VAN IS GREAT BUT I PREFER THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHTS VERSION CAUSE IT HAS THAT GARAGE SOUND AND FEEL)
The Wheels, from the same town as Them (Belfast, Northern Ireland), they were probably the first band to cover it as they would have seen Them play it many times before it came out on record. I like the Doors version also. Check out my garage band called Thee Dreggs (also from Belfast) at URL above.
The Blues Magoos 8 minute psyche rave-up version of Gloria is my favorite.
THEM! WHAT A BAND.DOES ANYONE REMBER THEIR FOLLOWUP BAND,THE BELFAST GYPSIES WITH GLORIA,S DREAM ON LOMA RECORDS.THEY ALSO DID SECRET POLICE. I USED TO HAVE THESE RECORDS .I MISS THEM,LITTERLY SPEAKING. AND YES THE MONTELLS WERE A KICK ASS BAND,HAVING LIVED IN MIAMI IN THE 1960,S. REMEMBER THE KOLLECTION ,WITH SAVAGE LOST!OR HOW ABOUT THE CHAINS "THE END".WHO COULD FORGET ANOTHER S.FLA. BAND, THE BLUES IMAGE.I DONT KNOW IF THE BANGLES (MALE GROUP) EVER RECORDED,BUT THEY REALLY COULD CRANKOUT THE PUNK,GARAGEBAND SOUND, I NOW LIVE IN LOUISVILLE,KY AND ONE OF OUR OLD 60,S GARAGE BANDS HAS JUST REISSUED A KILLER CD ON GEARFAB LABEL 'SOUL INC. VOL 1'. IT INCLUDES "I BELONG TO NOBODY" WHICH WAS A NATIONAL HIT IN 68.
I worked with & for Jimmy for about 4 years as part of his mgt./crew team in chicago 73-78 or there abouts. It was a great time & Jimmy was great guy. the band was great & the songs written in that time that were never were released were very marketable for that time frame .
JEFF I have K-OTICS Dubble Shot 45. It is much better than Swingin' Medalions!
It's great that some Bands' 60s member(or his wife) vote their group! Now I add FL Punk page about EVIL and Montells.
Them,Doors and David Bowie , of course
As the creator and former system operator of "The Biker Board" in
Dallas, Texas, I think I can safely speak for the majority of the
local Harley people when I say that we'll all bend over and kiss a fat
man's ass if the all time, world-wide, favorite version ain't the
(1993?) Van Morrison/John Lee Hooker duet! You'll never hear a more
powerful or moving version and after all, let's not forget who wrote
it and who influenced him! :) ................. Ryno :{>
LOS ROCKIN' DEVILS! of course, that excludes THE MONTELLS (hi Carter) since that demo has yet to surface. If only Mort Downey had chosen that instead of "Don't Bring Me Down", who knows? The Shadows Of Knight would probably be only as famous as The Huns. Not that I have anything against SOK, they were great, but their "Gloria" means nothing here in South Florida! And if the great d.j. Roby Yonge was still alive, he'd tell you the ONLY version of "Double Shot" that mattered was by Alabama's groovy K-OTICS! Extra credit to local girls THE BELLES for "Melvin", which was NOT dedicated to anyone in the Vandals! Bucci's first name was AUGIE, not MELVIN! The Belles competed in a Battle of the Bands in early '67 that was won by the Immortals (the "Beau Brummels Medley" band). Second prize went to the blasted Las Olas Brass with Jaco Pastorius!
Shadows of Knight of course. I heard that Jim Sohns is in Naples, Florida cu tting a new CD. Can't wait to hear it. It's been a long time coming. March 1 999.
patti smith, definitely. for *melvin* there is a better version than thee headcoatees--i can't remember who did it but it's about 1000 mph better and it's on Girls in the Garage vol. one or two. it was recorded in the 60's sometime
The Montells,South Fla group of which I was a member(singer) did a version of Gloria a year to the day before the song was even heard in the US. Our drummer would visit England and return to the US with records of groups that weren't heard of in the states. We would then play this material, we rearanged Gloria to suit us, it was kick ass rock and roll. When the song was released by Them people would say to us that "We heard your song Gloria, we don't like it as well as we do when you play it live."

The Montells, by far. The Shadows of Knight were bubble-gum punks.
The best is definitely from Shadows of Knight!
I am really impressed with your web site. Really did not knowe that you were doing all this. As for the best version of Gloria, I will vote with you and the drummers wife. By the way he is known as the "Big Teacher"
FOR SHEER BALLS OUT COOL, IT'S GOTTA BE THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHT ON "RAW 'N ALIVE AT THE CELLAR-1966" (TO BE HONEST,I THINK THE THEM VERSION IS LIMP!!!!)
My fave is probably the ELEVATORS version from Sump'n Else TV show (on FIRE IN MY BONES LP) - IT COOKS!!!
I really dig the Doors live version.
Hi I made new BBS page about '60s garage punk http://www.kiwi-us.com/~hitomi/chat/gb_s.cgi Let's join it.
another fantastic version came from the wallflower complexion' second lp "when i'm far from you" . they were sons of us diplomatic staff in columbia back in '66 & '67 & did released two incredible lps on daro label (both are impossible to find) - little indians lbl in germany reissued both in a double lp format and it's killer from start to finish (if you cannot find it, e-mail me) .
My favorite Gloria version is by the Boots. Robb London and The Rogues also do a mean version.
TEDDY ROBIN & THE PLAYBOYS のグロリアが最近のお気に入りです。
Them with Van Morrison
For the ultimate blues version by Van & John Lee Hooker take a listen too it on the album "TOO LONG IN EXILE"
Original form Them or A Night In San Francisco
THEM
Fave Gloria: "Gloria," from "It's Too Late to Stop Now."
The original, and still the best, version of "Gloria" is by THEM.
Is there any doubt who did the best job? Van the Man! Them has done probably the best version, followed by Van on his "Too late to stop now" live album. Good site, anytime you can talk about one of the greatest artists of all time! Billm

My favorite Gloria is "Melvin" by Thee Headcoatees
Actually the Gants have the best and original sound that most bands try to emulate--there is a story here. My husband is the drummer for the Gants and to hear them is do Gloria makes you believe in the stars and moon. Too Gushy --well I loved the song everytime I have heard most of the bands in the list--long before I knew any Gants-- they make a believer out of me. Mlee
Well...it just gotta be the Them version. But, I'll make myself unpopular, and say The Doors live version is second best; if only 'cos it doesn't sound like all the others.
I think the best and raw version of Gloria is from The Shadows of Knight 1st album.
hard to say, but i really like the boot's version, and "melvin" by the belles has to get some kind of runner up award.
The 13TH FLOOR ELEVATOR VERSION IS THE BEST ONE IN MY OPINION THEY ARE THE BEST GARAGEPSYCH BAND OF ALL TIME. REGARDS FROM BRAZIL HENRIQUE
THEM
Patti Smith's version.
GLORIA/Them
the original can't be surpassed mainly because of the menacing van's voice, in the psychedelic genre, tangerine zoo's one is really deranged masterpiece .
LES FLEAUX, a French Canadien band did a cool version of gloria. You can hear them on RUMBLE!QUEBEC エ66-エ67 VIVA BAROQUES & CALICO WALL!! Eberhard from Austria
Hi folks the first 2 albums of Shadows of Knight "Gloria" and "Back Door Man" will be reissued on Sundazed!
My vote is for Them's version, but The Shadows of Knight comes in a very close 2nd. Edmonton's King Beez version is cool, since it's a band with a few members reland, (who might have heard Them sing it in Belfast.
RE:38
Hi Ron please ask your aunts "Have you ever listen GLORIA
by Scorpions??"
bgm:too many lovers
Hi Lee Sure Shadows of Knight'S version is one of my fave!!
I have 2 aunts called GLORIA . I like 'em both the same ! I hope I was of any help .
The SHADOWS OF KNIGHT visit our homepage listed above !!!
My favotite one is by John Lee Hooker & Van Morrison. You can listen to it on the ablumn called "TOO LONG IN EXILE" by Van Morrison. I belive this is the most blusy version of 'Gloria'.
My fave GLORIA is performed by "THE BOOTS".But I think their best work is "Remember (Walkin' in the sand")! How about you? And my second favorite GLORIA is played by "MAGNITUDE 3",the band of Osaka, eastside of Japan! Sorry for my broken Engrish, and please sent me back a mail. Keep on rockin',do the teenage kick. Hell!
THE BOYS(VA/DRINK BEER!YELL!DANCE!収録)と、AFTERMATH(VA/HIGHS IN THE MIDSIXTIES VOL.20に収録)のGROLIAがPSYCHO(サイコー)!どちら にも共通してるのは、60年代の田舎のティーンエイジャーならではの、熱 い意気込み(=勘違い)。そして、それとはうらはらに空回りする音塊が 時空を超えて炸裂してます。
Come on. It can't be anything but the original by Them. SoK comes pretty close but that's only cause they practically did and exact replica. Patty Smith's version is cool, though with quite a bit of licence.
My favorite versions of "G L O R I A" are 1. from a band called "the hombres" from Memphis, Tennesse (1967)and 2. the version of "the boots" from my hometown Berlin..
Very good version by I Ragazzi del Sole (1966)
Hi I don't know Terry Lee 's recently news. But today I bought his Dee Jay album. It maybe dead stock released in '80.
testmail
Them...Morrison's voice does it. Great site. Anyone know what Terry Lee is doing? Drop me a note.
boots
Gee-el-o-are-i-ay. I'm for the Shadows of Knight. (But also the Blues Magoos' version was not bad). A big hello from to all from Mr. Pharmacist.
Hi There, My favourite "Gloria" is by THE SWAMPRATS I'm Hans, the producer of 60's Rebellion, Texas Flashbacks and Digging For Gold. Are you aware of my fine label: Music Maniac Records? Fuzztones/Dead Moon. Keep up the good work. Any possibility to spread the word in Japan? I hope to hear from you. Hans
The Thirteenth Floor Elevators' version is my favorite. Rocky's lunatic singing sends this version straight to the top of my list. Sumner Erickson (Roky's brother) threw water on me at a party one time! Lunacy is a family trait, I guess. He's a tuba player in the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
The original version by Them is the best, none of the other versions can bea t Van Morrison's great voice. Of the cover versions I like the Squires and the Shadows of Knight best.
the Squires' version is the best one!
Hi Andrea!! Squires' version is one of my fave.
Hi Hitomi !! Hi Hitomi !!! I Agree with Manambu Takayama and Claus Rosemblad The SQUIRES version RULES !!!!
Thanks to vote!!
I vote for the Shadows of Knight's 1966 live version (from the Sundazed CD). It's the insane freak-out at the end, complete with Mothers of Invention reference, that makes it for me!
Being biased, I'm going to say that Gloria by The Claude Pepper Blues
Explosion is my favorite ('cause I'm in the group...) An easy second
place goes to Them, for a brilliantly played song and Van Morrison's
voice.
The Moaners
The Squires がよいです。 三十代後半になって初めて、garage〜teens beat にくびったけ。GSと重ねて楽しんでます。
13th floor elevators they are the CLASSIC group.... nice webpage
Hi Hitomi, Great page! I have to vote for Edmonton's King Beez' version of "Gloria"--d efinitely the sloppiest most incompetent stumble through the tune imaginable .
The Squires version' s really nice, I think
The Squires version' s really nice, I think
Hi Hitomi. I go with The Fingers (whom I got to hear, courtesy of Glenn Sadin). Great site, btw. Best regards, Frank
My favorite is the Shadows' of Knight version (NOT '69!!!), although The Residents' deconstructed version (heard on side two of "THE THIRD REICH N' ROLL" comes close. Gee-El-Oh-Ar-Eye-Aye!
I'm glad you are conducting this survey. I do a radio show here in Ann Arbor, Michigan USA and every show I play different versions of "Hey Joe" and "Gloria." This is a tough question... I may have to say the original, by THEM, in its mono 45 mix. I also dig Michigan's garage version by the Oxford Five (on the rare "Friday at the Cage-A-Go-Go" lp), but the Gants one is cool, and so is the Blues Magoos' (long!) version. I want to hear some of the other ones mentioned in this survey, though, they sound great!
My vote goes to the Moody Stones, from France! The singer's completely incomprehensible! Honorable mention goes to Argentina's Los Walkers, for using bongos in their version. It actually works!
Hi folks please vote your fave GLORIA. You can choice 2 or3 version. I vote GANTS and SHADOW OF KNIGHT today. HITOMI------------Since 1997-------------
